Intratek Computer, Inc. is looking for a Sr Desktop Support Technician to support our government client in San Jose ,CA 95118 (M-F 7:30am 4:30pm).

The Sr. Desktop Technician collaborates with the Intratek project team and ITD staff to provide Tier II Microsoft workstation, software, hardware and/or networking support.



  • Provide backup support answering help desk telephone calls as necessary
  • Log, track and update all tickets in Kayako
  • Password resets
  • Complete scheduled ITD inter-office moves
  • Coordinates with ITD staff on workstation, laptop, printers, parts, consumables orders and tracking
  • Workstation hardware, software, troubleshooting and performance issues
  • Workstation imaging, replacement, deployment of new machines, software installation and profile creation
  • Workstation drive mapping and domain joining tasks
  • Configure and troubleshoot VPN clients
  • Setup and troubleshoot endpoint networking issues
  • Troubleshoot and remedy virus and malware incidents
  • Loaner hardware maintenance and monitoring
  • Provide backup conference room support for Meeting Technology Services
  • Assist with management of retired/surplus equipment and asset tagging
  • Android and iOS mobile device email setup and configurations; email, contacts and calendar
  • Prioritize and escalate to ITD Tier III support as necessary
  • Provide emergency hotline support (estimated at 5-10 calls weekly) on a rotational basis upon request



  • 5+ years enterprise senior level desktop support
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with District stakeholders, project teams and 3rd party vendors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of own work
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and emphasis on quality
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent training
