Reports to: Recruiting Manager

Job Summary:

The Jr. IT Recruiter will evaluate applicants against open IT positions and recommend qualified candidates move forward through established recruitment process and manage the applicant process until a decision to hire is made.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting professionals in various IT talent communities, colleges, internet sites, cold calling, and social media, and any other resource available; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; maintaining candidate pipeline.
  • Supports proposals by identifying and submitting candidates that meet the requirements listed in the RFP’s.
  • Understands applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications, and interface with Sales, Operations, or other departments as needed to gain clarification.
  • Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements on social media sources and job sites. May attend job fairs and industry events when appropriate. Uses databases and creative sourcing tools to identify and engage qualified talent.
  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Required Experience and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline preferred
  • 1 – 2 yr. experience recruiting IT professionals preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid work ethic, high sense of urgency, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong Teamwork and Service Mindedness
