Intratek Computer, Inc. is looking for a Desktop Support Technician to support our client in Los Angeles, CA.
Desktop Support Staff
All Desktop Support Staff will be CompTIA A+ certified and responsible for all service desk tickets not resolved by the Service Desk. Duties and responsibilities include interacting with Network Services, Applications Support, subject matter experts and third-party vendors to restore service and/or identify and correct core problems; updating and/or resolving tickets with all pertinent information as well as updating any necessary inventory records to ensure that all records are accurate. Team Intratek will assign a designated Desktop Support Staff member responsible for providing support to designated VIPs that will have an expedited response time.
Using Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol and Microsoft Lync, Desktop Support Staff will remotely troubleshoot desktop devices whenever possible and will also provide support for all related peripheral devices and network connections; support IT projects and special programs such as hardware and software IMACs; develop, test and deploy desktop images; provide desktop security administration to ensure a risk free environment; provide recommendations for system modifications and enhancements to reduce end-user issues and provide operational efficiencies, and monitoring of wired and wireless infrastructure including upstream transit providers, all virtualization software such as VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V as well as virtual desktop solutions from Citrix and VMware Horizon. Duties and responsibilities include providing Tier 2 escalation support for any trouble tickets that come in through the Helpdesk related to the network, servers, and storage; performing routine maintenance by upgrading software, firmware, performing penetration testing and auditing the network and all related components.
